Revel by The Cloud Company

Somebody get me a fog horn its getting cloudy in here…

May I introduce you to the Cloud Company, lovingly created by ‘Pip The Bunny’. It’s an 80% VG range from the same gorgeous minds that brought you Suicide Bunny and Kings Crown. Vaping flavours from all these lines is a complex, sometimes confusing, and overall satisfying experience. They truly have been sculpted with depth and nuances that will speak differently to whoever is vaping them. Revel is no different.

I’m having a really difficult time nailing this bugger down. Every time I think I’ve got it, I’ll have another go and the flavours will change. Firstly it’s a cereal vape and you do get that kinda wheaty breakfastyness shining through, it’s the under and over tones that tantalise and confuse the shit outta me. Sometimes I get berry flavours with the cereal on the inhale, other times it’s a citrus burst of lemons and limes. Whichever one seems more prominent on the inhale will also be more dominant on the exhale. It doesn’t end there either, thrown in for good measure is full fat creamy milkiness which joins up with its buddy’s as you blow it outta your face. None of these flavours ever overshadow the others, I’m thinking this is why your taste buds home in on different elements each time.

I’m a big fan of complex flavours, they can maintain my interest and make me wanna keep vaping. The more basic flavours that I love instantly I can bore of just as quickly. I still like them, but, they won’t make it into regular rotation. The ones I’m not sure of often become the ones I love, and these ones I never wanna run out of. I don’t think Revel is gonna make that list. Its a nice vape and the clouds are fucking fantastic. Its creamy goodness flowing from my mouth and nose which is so saturated I just wanna curl up in that shit and become a baby cloud monster. Although I like the flavour in my writing I’m describing it as nice. Lets face it ‘nice’ is the arse end of a positive description and I find it very difficult to get excited about this flavour. That’s not to say it isn’t a good vape, I have been vaping and enjoying this flavour for a couple of weeks. It just doesn’t get my juices going. If your a cereal vape junkie this is well worth checking out, its so well put together it could rock your vaping socks off.

That is just my personal feelings, flavour is extremely subjective and it’s a very difficult thing to review. What I’m barely noticing might be blowing somebody else away. Although not entirely to my taste you can tell this is still a well produced, crafted and premium liquid. One which due to its complex nature should definitely be experienced. On a side note the packaging and artwork are so well done. I’m loving the gothic biblical look with bondage undertones. All the branding on Pips lines are wicked and I just wanted to share a bit of love for the design.

At the time of writing this… In the UK a 30ml bottle of this will set you back £16.99 or 15ml for £8.99 Both come in glass dripper bottles and are available from VapeClub as well as other vendors.

Crovape Crotip Glass M

Drip tip with added airflow… you’re twisting my melon man.

This one has to be placed up there as a fucking treat, I’m not gonna mince around this point because anybody reading this will have to take it into account. This fucker costs £40. Now before you stop reading and start thinking I’m some kinda sucker for spending that on a drip tip, let me talk you through my wallet punching thought process. Crovape are without doubt a true high end company, their shit is expensive. All their shit is expensive, but, it comes with a no compromise, no messing about attitude to their products. The box it comes in is made from stone and if you invert the lid it doubles as a MOD stand. Every item they produce is serial numbered, as well as looking cool they can trace each and every item they make and they are limited to 9999 parts. So everything they make is automatically a limited edition. The choice of finishes is vast also, (see their website) you can even get this little bitch 24k plated if you so wish. In a totally uncharacteristic turn of events I went for one of the planer (and cheaper) finishes, without even knowing the cost. Seriously that never happens, I’ve got some sort of superpower, nah, curse for the finer things and I hate settling, but, this is by the by. Things get seriously sexual when you put this in your mouth.

It’s like a vapour flavour orgasm, they’ve come together in your mouth and it’s fucking earth shockingly good. They’ve got the shape of this thing spot on and it sits between your lips perfectly. Lets face it round drip tips are not a natural shape to put your lips around, why hasn’t anybody else really experimented with this. Also those two extra little air holes on the side are part of what they call the AMS (Air Max System). They pull air from outside the dripper and turn your mouth into a second flavour chamber. Ba Boom… Flavour in your face and blowing out steam like a fucking dragon. So simple yet so effective. I was sceptical at first and then the dude slipped it in me and I was hooked. 40 quid seemed like a bargain.

A few points, the Crotip is seriously wide and may look odd if the top of your atty is not completely flat. It does provide a cooler vape as you are adding extra airflow and you really need to work out if that price point is something you can justify. All that aside I’m happy I went for it. Pairing it up with the magma created a whole new vaping experience in single coil mode where the draw can normally be a little tight.

As far as tips go this one smashes all the others in the face. It stays cool and provides a shit tonne of flavour and vapour in one package. I went for the medium one but its also available in short and long. I’m gonna invest in the short one as well for a slightly warmer experience. Can’t say any fairer than that 🙂

Hana Modz V4D

Everything has changed, what I thought I knew about building my own coils and vaping mechanical has been totally turned on its head. Is it an evolution? I think so. Imagine a world in which dry hits are a thing of a past. No more coughing and fighting for air as if it was the last days of Pompeii, that burnt heat of cotton flambé hitting the back of your throat and making you think ‘oh shit’. Fucking unpleasant would be an understatement. Don’t get me wrong it doesn’t happen often, but, sometimes due to intoxication I can get a little carried away with the enjoyment of vaping and forget to drip.

So much has been said about the Evolve DNA40 and not all of it good, people believe that it was released a little too early and it needed a few of the bugs ironing out. That’s where this device comes in with version 4 of the chip set and a larger improved screen. I have been running it with various builds for a few weeks now and I’m massively impressed. No dry hits, building with nickel took a little getting used to but I’ve found twisting it with kanthal gives it extra durability, making it easier to work with and the coils less prone to becoming disfigured. The temp protect still works perfectly even when twisted with other metals. This is not a review of the Evolve chips nor is it a guide how to work with nickel. So I need to sort my shit out and talk about the Hana Modz V4D.

I ordered this direct from their site and I did have a little confusion while ordering. The new V4D with the larger screen is only available in Matte Black but the V4D on the site is available in a range of colours, these however come with an older version of the DNA40. They will be updating the coloured box mods over the next few weeks. This was not overly clear on the website and at first I ordered a Navy Blue one as I’m a sucker for all things colourful and shiny. Then after ordering I noticed on their Facebook page that there was a difference. Hats off to their customer service as they changed the order to the updated version with no trouble.

One thing that ordering direct gives you is the option to have your box custom engraved, I went with Dirrty Tramp down the side and its sick as tits. It’s the same high standard of engraving that is elsewhere on the mod and was well worth the extra 30 bucks. The matte finish is a little like a chalk board and doesn’t show finger prints, if you wear rings on your fingers it may start to show signs of wear and tear tho. I had a thumb ring on during a night out and it has left a slight mark or two. Its built like a brick shit house though, carved from one solid block of aluminium. You do have to undo screws to get into the battery compartment, not really a big deal as it holds 2 18650 batteries (not included) which can be charged inside the unit. This does take fucking ages tho, think we have been spoiled with all our quick charging shit. Treat it as an overnight charge, you can however use the device while charging, or just pop in a fresh set of batteries. I’m getting about a day and half usage out of it vaping in temperature protect mode at 0.18ohms at 30-35watts limited to 420F.

The buttons are nice and clicky and it feels good and solid in the hand. As you’d expect for a device that costs $209. Most attys screw down flush as it has a spring loaded centre pin, the only one I have had a slight issue with is the Tugboat V2. This sits maybe half a millimetre, maybe a touch less above the base, (the tugboat is known for having a long connector). This does not bother me as much as I thought it would. Generally I like everything to sit flush but I can live with this.

What can I say… I love this device, I’ve had no issues from the chips or coil builds, I’ve done maybe 15 or so different coils and only had issues with one of them. The temp protect just works and hand on heart I have never had a dry hit. Vapour production and flavour is fantastic so if you’re in the market for this kind of box mod, do yourself a favour and buy one. You’ll love it too.

Captains Custard

Arrrrrrrr avast ye bastards I’ve got me a bottle of the captains creamy goodness…

Its a bit much but I do like to get involved in being a pirate, so any juice company thats comes with the branding of the Captains Reserve is gonna be a winner in my book. And to top it off the 40ml dripper bottle is a glass skull. I don’t care who you are, thats pretty titty fucking cool.

I came across this UK company at VapeJam and was impressed while trying their juices, trouble is you get so bombarded by great stuff to try, it’s a little difficult to remember what was good. Having got home and found one of their flyers buried at the bottom of my bag I thought I’d give them a go. I ordered a 40ml bottle of the Captains Custard because of some cloudy memory of trying it and liking it. To be honest, it’s better than the usual guess work when buying from a new company online. The amount of bottles I have bought and really don’t like is crazy. Kinda makes me wince to think of the expense.

Captains Custard is a good creamy vape that smacks you round the chops with full on banana. As you turn up the temp the flavour of the banana changes, the more power you put into it the more caramelised the banana becomes on the exhale. Its available in 0mg 3mg 6mg 12mg and 18mg and comes in 10ml bottle or 40ml glass skull available from their website. The juices are a 50/50 PG/VG mix and the only thing that would make me happier is that if the VG were higher. Having said that this is still a cut above the rest, just increasing the VG gives a far more saturated full bodied vape, but, this is just my preference as I mainly use drippers and not tanks.

All in all I’m very happy with this one at £19.99 for 40ml Glass Fucking Skull its rocking my vaping socks off as I type. Id be lying if i said the bottle didn’t sell it tho 😉
